Can a wife leave a family member in charge of her and her husbands estate if her husband is still living?

My grandfather's second wife had a will and left her niece in charge of both estates in the event that she passed away. He had two strokes but has recovered well and is of sound mind. Her side of the family wants to put my grandfather in a nursing home. We don't believe in putting family members in nursing homes, we take care of our own. Can she do that? Can a wife leave a family member in charge of her and her husbands estate if her husband is still living?
As long as grandfather is alive and of sound mind he can choose where to stay, also the will of the wife has no legal bearing on the grandfather still alive , so you family member may need to go in court and get power of attorney over the grandfather or take grandfather to a lawyer to work out his wishes and not the wishes of her family side

Talk to a LawyerCan a wife leave a family member in charge of her and her husbands estate if her husband is still living?
sound to me like maybee that will was read a little wrong are your sure that she wasnt left in charge of the whole estate in the event that both of them died sound like to me the husband would be the one to inherit everything if he survived his wife and is of sound mind i mean its not like he himself is property
