My husband and I are trying to get pregnant but I dont have a menstral. What can I do?

I get a menstral once every 5 months or so. We haven't tried alot of things yet but I figured I'd ask here.My husband and I are trying to get pregnant but I dont have a menstral. What can I do?
You need to amke an appointment with a doctor, preferably an OBGYN. Going more than three months without menstrating increases significantly your chances of uterin cancer. Repeatedly having that happens is not healthy for you at all.

Make an appointment, they'll probably do a pap and draw some blood to check hormone levels. then they'll be able to help you regulate your cycle to help you and your husband conceive.

I was just like you, and got all this information from my OBGYN. I was concequently diagnosed with PCOS, and my OBGYN prescribed provera to start my period, and then Clomid to force ovulation.

Good luck!!! I'm sure a doctor can help you.My husband and I are trying to get pregnant but I dont have a menstral. What can I do?
my suggestion is to have sex every single day!! lol i think you can buy an ovulation calculator from the drug store that will tell you when you are ovulating. I would look into that first before taking any drastic action.
You need to see a Dr.Start with your ob/gyn. Having a period only once every 5 months is unhealthy and increases the risk for uterine cancer because the cells don't shed as they should.

If you are not having a regualr period than you are not ovulating and it will be very, very difficult to get prenant unless you get yur cycles regulated.

PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) is a common cause of irregular periods and many with this (but not all) are overweight. Bloodwork and a vaginal ultrasound can be done to check for symptoms.

Then medication (Clomid is the first line of defense for Drs)can be given to help regulate your cycles and once this happens many women get pregnant.

It doesn't matter if you just began trying if yo aren't having regualr cycles then most Drs will begin treatment before the typical 1 year waiting period.

Good luck!
I'm not sure what the answer to this question is, but I intend to find out pretty soon .I'm having the same issue myself. I have a menstrual , on average about 5 times a year. I'm trying to get pregnant as well. I intend to visit my doctor this month to find out what I should do.. I think maybe you should visit your doctor as well.... Good Luck
go to the doctor they can get you regular.
you should go to a doctor.

They can help you regulate your cycle and then you can try to conceive at the right time for the best chance to conceive.

good luck.
I'm having the same problem. I consulted with doctor and she gave me the Fertility Pills called Clomid. Generally clomid is a high effective pills used to fertile and ovulate. After taking that pills u have to check for the Ovulation Test, the ovulation tester will be available in Walmart stores or ,,,, Clear Blue Ovulation Test is #1 rated. The ovulation tester will show u the LH surge....Then u have to try daily and more than that....u have to pray daily before u start doing that.
This would be a perfect question to ask your doctor. Especially if you two are starting to try for a baby. I did and he is helping me a lot.

Good Luck!!
There are many reasons this could happen. You really should go see a doctor and try to figure out why. This could lead to conception problems if in fact you are not ovulating or your follicles are not maturing.

Going to the doctor now may save a lot of frustration when trying to conceive. I tried to conceive for about 3 years before getting diagnosed with PCOS - I wish I would have done it sooner. It took me some time after that to find out what would work to resolve the problem before I got the greatest blessing - a 10lb 7.6 oz baby boy!!!

Good Luck.
