I have already purchased a very nice humador but when it comes to the actual cigars I'm clueless. Any recommendations? He likes smooth tastes and usually goes for the whiskey or brandy dipped. His usual cheap cigar choice is makers mark dipped. I want to get him really nice ones though. Can you recommend good cigars to get my husband for his birthday?
Coheba (Cuban) my favorite.
You can go to your local tabocco shop for advice. Can you recommend good cigars to get my husband for his birthday?
Wow...If Makers Mark (at $10 a pop) are his cheap cigar choice there's not much else to recommend, however if he's willing to forgo the flavorings and really try to appreciate a fine cigar for what it is a great full flavored cigar is the Bolivar Cofradia 754. It is a decently priced cigar with as close to you can come to a full bodied Cuban without actually buying one (which is illegal in the U.S. and can carry strict penalties). The Cofradia is full bodied with hints of leather, chocolate, and spices. If your husband enjoys really flavorful cigars get him some of these and a bottle of bourbon to go with them. I promise it will blow his socks off!
P.S.-If your looking for a good place to buy from check out J.R. cigar's website. They're the largest cigar retailer in the U.S. and have great quality and the lowest prices.
H. Upman Cameroon is a very nice smoke, I also like Padron, Rocky Patell, and Ashton. However if flavored cigars are what he likes the Acid series by Drew estate is very tasty. Feel free to email me for more advice if you like. I love fine cigars and am more than happy to help you or him pick some nice ones.
If he is an experienced smoker, try to find some limited edition smokes - Camacho Liberty 2009, Opus X (good luck), Padron 1926 and the like
I personally recommend the white owl brand.... very fine..... also honey dutch
