My husband and I are looking for a change and are considering moving. Where is a good place to move to?

We are thinking of maybe going to New England or just further north, we are presently in Texas and neither one of us like it here. We moved here from Colorado in February and want to move again next summer we just are not sure where would be a good place to go. Your opinions would be greatly appreciated, Thanks! My husband and I are looking for a change and are considering moving. Where is a good place to move to?
Do as my wife %26amp; I did when we retired, sell the house, purchase a RV and move when ever you feel like it. If you don't like your neighbors, just move.

You haven't mentioned what kind of work you do, when we wish some extra cash we just look online at Workamper News, see if there's something we might like to do, and go for it.

All jobs don't require a RV, but that's why we like it, mant do.

New England is really nice...its expensive though. Vermont is so pretty and Upstate NY is really nice too as well as Connecticut and Massachusetts....not many major urban areas besides NYC and Boston but its good if you like outdoorsy things. Real estate is very expensive as well as property taxes.

It's great though with the change of seasons....its so pretty in the fall with all the leaves changing. Plus there is plenty to do as far as driving places for long weekends....you can head to Mystic Seaport, Cape Cod, Sarataga Springs, Boston, NYC, Vermont, the Jersey shore etc.....most things are within a couple of hrs so it easy to travel.

I live in NJ now and I do like it....plenty of shopping, only 1/2 hr from NYC, mountains, lakes, ocean, etc....everything I could want. The cost of houses in a nice neighborhood %26amp; taxes is not worth it though in my opinion. I am actually going to be moving to Colorado!!
Where are you originally from? Colorado? Why did you move to Texas? Because of his work or you just wanted to...Well a lot of factors depend-it depends on your financial situation cuz some places are really expensive to live plus you also gotta pay for rent which in some places is very expensive. Also not all good places are good for finding good jobs, in some places you culd even have a college degree and still not get a decent paying job. What places do you like? How is your financial situation?

Let me tell you that places like NY, California, Chicago, Boston, Miami are very expensive. So I would recommend for you a places that are much cheaper but still very nice like Ohio(Cincinatti and Cleveland), Idaho, Georgia(houses are really cheap and big), New Mexico(Albuquerque and Rio Rancho),All Michigan state, North Carolina-all those places mentioned are very nice places that are NOT to expensive for housing and other expenses.
What don't you like about Texas?

What do you want from this move?

Without any indication of these, it's impossible to say.

What do you like and dislike about various places to live?
I live in southern new england, not a bad place to live. A few hours from both Boston and NYC. Not too much snow, as nothern new england or upstate ny.
I like Atlanta, even with the current water crisis. Stay away from Michigan -- unemployment is really high. My cousin has been unemployed for well over a year!
