His crime was not a voilent one yet it was a felony. I dont know if it falls under deportation. He was sentenced to 1 year in county jail. However out of that year he will only have serve 8 months.My husband is was sentenced to 1 year and 5 years probation he is a permenant resident will he get deported?
It's certainly possible, but impossible to say for certain based on the limited information here. I'd recommend consulting a good immigration lawyer who'll have all the facts in front of him before he gives you his opinion.My husband is was sentenced to 1 year and 5 years probation he is a permenant resident will he get deported?
';My husband is was sentenced to 1 year and 5 years probation he is a permanent resident will he get deported?';
Hope so!
We have enough ';home grown'; criminals to keep any more from another country!
We already have too many foreigners who come to the U.S. and commit crimes!
yikes! he will be stripped of his statues and deported for at least ten years to life. Getting Residency is not a right , it was a privilege. The moment he committed a felony, he destroyed his chances of living here.
probably. A felony is grounds for deportation. It will be up to Immigration to decide whether they want to put a ';hold'; on him for his release -- but lately it's becoming pretty automatic in most states.
if he is here legal and all to begin with no he wont be.......if he isnt here legal he may have a chance to get deported. like the others have said , may not happen but it is up to the dept involved..............good luck hon
propably call immig and ask. you do not have to give his name be general or ask a lawyer.
at a min he may loose his green card and be here on a work permit for a while but it will not be easy.
Yes. One felony is enough. We have too many other criminals that need to be deported still.
probably. Any felony is enough to get one deported.
Sure does sound like a reason for being deported to me.
He should be.
Very likely, hope you don't have kids in the middle of this
