My husband is a permanant resident and is coming to mexico with me for a surgury does he require a visa?

He has filed all his papers for citizenship and is waiting to hear when the test is. However We leave in mid April for my surgury and need to know the answer for this question. And if a visa is required how do we go about applying for one?My husband is a permanant resident and is coming to mexico with me for a surgury does he require a visa?
No, he does not need a visa. all legal permanent residents of the U.S. may travel to Mexico without a visa. You will both get a tourist card on the plan. he will need to carry his passport from his home country and his green card. See site below and read section on International Travel. See 2nd site to confirm that he does not need a visa. Just fill in all the blanks , including the ';resident alien'; one and click for the info. Ah, just found better site... on the 3rd site, see 2nd paragraph under the list of countries. My husband is a permanant resident and is coming to mexico with me for a surgury does he require a visa?
You did not say what country he is a Citizen of ??? But if he's coming back with you back into the US, a Visa won't cut it! You will both need passports! (although there is a new passport-card, like a passport wanna-be, forgot its name, it's cheaper and they will accept it too it will only work in the Americas)

There are stricter regulations while traveling in Mexico just past Guaymas!
